Price camp ‘interested’ in Harrison fight

first_imgDavid Price’s promoter Frank Maloney has hinted that his fighter could face Audley Harrison.Harlesden’s former Olympic champion made a winning return to the ring on Saturday night, stopping Ali Adams in the fourth round of their clash at the Brentwood Centre in Essex.It was Harrison’s first bout since losing a one-sided world title fight against David Haye in November 2010 – a performance he puts down to a pectoral injury.The 40-year-old says he now wants to challenge Liverpool prospect Price for the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles.And Maloney told West London Sport: “It’s a fight we’re interested in. We’re looking to get in contact with him [Harrison].“There are a number of options we’re looking at and I can say that Audley Harrison is one of them.”The highly-rated Price, 28, won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics and has won all 13 of his professional contests, 11 of them by knockout.He recently swept aside Sam Sexton after Tyson Fury – another leading British heavyweight Harrison says he would like to fight – opted not to face him.Follow West London Sport on TwitterFind us on Facebooklast_img
